Why didn’t my client’s coupon apply correctly at checkout?

Troubleshoot the most common reasons a coupon wasn’t applied during purchase.

Why Use This Feature?

Use this article if a client reports that they entered a coupon but no discount was applied — or if you notice a payment that should have been discounted but wasn’t.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Check if the coupon is active

    • Go to Products > Coupons and confirm the coupon has not expired or been deleted.

  2. Check redemption limits

    • If the coupon has reached its maximum redemptions, it cannot be used again.

  3. Confirm client applied the coupon

    • The discount will only apply if the client entered the code and clicked Apply Coupon at checkout.

  4. Check coupon setup

    • Verify the discount type, duration, and limits were saved correctly when the coupon was created.


What Happens Next

Once you identify the issue, you can re-share the correct code, extend redemption limits, or apply a discount manually to the client’s next payment if the purchase has already been completed.
