What is the booking time limit and how does it affect clients?

Control how late clients can book before a class or session starts.

Why Use This Feature?

The booking time limit helps you manage how last-minute your clients can book into a class or session. Whether you need time to prepare your space or want to reduce last-minute drop-ins, this setting gives you control over booking cut-off times. Making sure you're never caught off guard.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to LegitFit on your desktop browser.
  2. Go to Settings > System Settings
  3. Scroll to the Booking Time Limit section.
  4. Choose how many minutes before a class or appointment begins that clients should no longer be able to book (e.g. 15, 30, 60 minutes).
  5. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

If you already have sessions in your timetable, be sure to update them with the new booking time limit once saved.

Booking Time Limit (1)

What Happens Next

Once set, clients won’t be able to book a session if it starts sooner than your chosen limit. For example, with a 30-minute limit, a client won’t be able to book a 6:00 PM class after 5:30 PM. This also prevents unexpected arrivals or last-second bookings after you’ve closed off prep or check-in.

Success Tip

Match your booking time limit to your operational flow. If you need to check the space, manage attendance, or lock the door early — choose 30 minutes or more. For virtual sessions, you might prefer a tighter 5–10 minute window. You can also leave this setting turned off to allow for last minute bookings!
