How do I switch a client from one membership to another?

Why Use This Feature?

Clients’ needs can change, and switching their memberships seamlessly ensures a better experience. This feature is also useful if you’re updating or increasing your prices.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Method 1: Automated Switch

1. Go to the client’s profile in LegitFit.

2. Navigate to their Services.

3. Locate the current membership you want to switch.

   • Under Status, click the Switch Membership button.

   • Select the new membership you want to assign.

4. The switch will take place at the end of the client’s current billing period.

5. The client will only gain access to the new membership once the current billing period ends.

Method 2: Manual Switch

1. Go to the client’s profile in LegitFit.

2. Navigate to their Services.

3. Locate the current membership you want to end.

   • Under Status, click the Cancel Membership button.

   • Set the cancellation date.

4. Go to Products and select the new membership you want to assign.

   • Click Assign to Client.

   • Search for the client’s name and select the appropriate payment method.

   • Turn on Enable Custom Billing Start Date and enter the start date.

5. This switch can be set to happen immediately or on a chosen date.

6. The client will gain access to the new membership one billing cycle before the first scheduled payment.

What Happens Next

• Method 1: The client will be switched automatically at the end of their current billing cycle. They’ll be charged for the new membership on the start date.

• Method 2: The client will have early access to the new membership one billing cycle before their first scheduled payment.

Success Tip

If you need to switch multiple clients at once, use the Bulk Switch option under Products. Select the membership you want to update, then click Bulk Switch to move all clients over.
