How do account settings affect my payment setup?

Clarify what information matters when setting up Stripe for LegitFit.

Why Use This Feature?

You need to verify your account details to take payments and add clients. Stripe uses some of your LegitFit account information to confirm your identity and enable payment processing. So getting this right is essential for getting paid.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to LegitFit on your browser.

  2. Go to Settings > Account tab.

  3. Review the Email Address field — this will be used during Stripe setup and for billing-related notifications.

  4. Other fields like Phone Number, Website, and Business Name in this section are not sent to Stripe.

  5. When prompted to connect Stripe (via the Payments tab), your email will auto-populate. You can manually edit any Stripe fields before confirming.


What Happens Next

Once connected, Stripe will use your verified email and other onboarding information to process payments. Your LegitFit account details remain separate. Changing them later won’t impact your Stripe setup.
