Can I change the price, billing cycle, or number of sessions in a membership?
Some settings are locked once a membership goes live — here’s how to work around it.
Why Use This Feature?
It’s important to keep your pricing and session offerings flexible, but also consistent. LegitFit locks certain fields after creation to avoid issues with billing and usage tracking. Understanding what’s editable (and what’s not) helps you manage changes without creating confusion for clients.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Settings you cannot change after a membership is created:
-
Price
-
Billing frequency (weekly, monthly, yearly)
-
Number of sessions per interval
If you want to change these, you need to create a new membership:
-
Go to Products > Memberships.
-
Click + Create Membership to set up a new plan with your updated details.
Settings you can change after creation:
-
Name and description
-
Visibility (public, private, or client-specific)
-
Priority booking and open access toggles
-
Display order and position
-
Accepted services or sessions
What Happens Next
Clients on the original membership will continue under the original terms unless you switch them manually. The new version will appear alongside the old one unless you disable or delete the previous plan.
Success Tip
Name memberships clearly by version or year (e.g. Monthly Pro – 2024) so both clients and staff can easily distinguish between old and updated plans.
