How do I set up Progress Tracking for a client?

Create structured check-ins to collect progress updates from your clients.

Why Use This Feature?

Progress Tracking allows you to collect structured updates from clients on things like habits, biometrics, or check-ins.

It helps you monitor progress over time without relying on messages or manual follow-ups.
This feature is in its early stages, and additional capabilities will be added over time.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open LegitFit in a web browser

    • Progress Tracking is currently available on the web only. This feature is not accessible via the mobile app

  2. Go to Clients from the admin dashboard.

  3. Select the client you want to set up a progress tracker for.

  4. Open the Progress tab on the client profile.

  5. Click Add Tracker.

  6. Choose how you want to create the tracker:

    • Select a template, or

    • Choose Create from scratch

  7. If using a template, choose from:

    • Diet – monitor calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat

    • Biometrics – track weight, body fat, and blood pressure

    • Habits – track sleep, step count, and water intake

    • Weekly check-in – reflect on wins and setbacks

  8. If creating a tracker from scratch:

    • Enter a name (e.g. Monthly check-in)

    • Add a description (e.g. A quick health check every month)

    • Set the frequency (e.g. every 1 month)

    • Choose a start date

    • Optionally set an end date

  9. Add questions to the tracker:

    • Enter the question text

    • Choose a question type:

      • Short answer text

      • Long answer text

      • Numeric answer

      • Checkbox

      • Multiple choice

      • Multiple checkboxes

    • If using a numeric answer, select a unit type (e.g. weight, percentage)

    • Mark the question as required if needed

  10. Repeat the process to add additional questions.

  11. Optional: Click Save as template to reuse this tracker in the future.

    • Saved templates appear at the bottom of the template list.

  12. Click Preview to see how the tracker will appear to the client.

  13. When you are happy, click Publish Tracker to send to your client.

What Happens Next

Once published, the tracker is assigned to the client.

The client receives a notification in the web browser inviting them to complete the tracker.
When the client submits their responses, the results are sent to you and stored on the client profile.

Clients cannot currently view their own submitted progress data.

Success Tip

Because clients cannot see their own progress yet, it is best to review results with them during check-ins or sessions. This helps maintain clarity and motivation while the feature continues to evolve.
