How do I move a client to a new membership?

Switch clients from one plan to another without cancelling or restarting billing.

Why Use This Feature?

Sometimes clients upgrade, downgrade, or need a different plan. Instead of cancelling and re-adding, LegitFit allows you to transfer clients smoothly between memberships while keeping their billing dates intact.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to Products > Memberships.

  2. Select the membership the client currently has.

  3. In the membership details, scroll to the Membership Holders section.

  4. Click the two arrows icon (Transfer Membership Holders).

  5. Select Switch Memberships.

  6. You’ll see the client’s current membership. Use the search bar to find and select the new membership you want to switch them to.

  7. Review the confirmation screen, which will show:

    • Current membership → New membership

    • Note that all active subscriptions will be switched.

    • The switch will take effect on the client’s next billing date.

    • A €0.50 switch fee applies.

    • Billing dates remain unchanged.

  8. Click Switch Memberships to complete the process.

Important: You cannot switch a membership that was assigned for free.


What Happens Next

The client will remain on their current plan until their next billing date. On that date, they will be charged for and moved to the new membership automatically.
